Photo 365: Day 107 – Isle of Spice
No that’s not a shoot from a grocery store 😉
Those are some of the spices from our pantry.
Had some free time this afternoon and spent it on shooting these spices. Surprisingly all these happened to be from McCormick and it worked it pretty well. To bring out the contrast in colors (red caps) I had the spice bottles sit on a blue cardboard and used window lighting to capture these.
I like this one. The reflections in the spoons are a nice touch.
There is something about this one that I love, but I can’ describe it.
Probably something wit the colors. They are so vivid, almost more than real. Like you photoshoped them alot :-p
The spoons probably make is complete.
I agree about the spoons finishing this off very nicely. The saturation and sharpness is perfect. It’s a great shot.
If your spice supply is like mine, it takes up a whole cabinet. I have to keep mine in alphabetical order (don’t laugh) to keep them straight.
I looked to see if you had lined up the spices in the order “Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme”. I can’t help but think of that Simon and Garfunkel song every time I see spices in a row. 🙂
Beautiful shot. This could be and Ad for McCormick. I think that the blue adds the punch to the photo.
