Photo 365: Day 355 – Birds in flight

Took my son for a walk in our neighborhood this evening as we had weather in the 40s this evening.

As we were getting back home (just after sunset) shot these birds in flight. I like the way this shot turned out – there is a bit of motion and negative space in this shot. Didn’t have to do much processing either besides the crop and RAW to JPEG conversion.

    Nice composition and the use of negative space. I like the motion blur of the wings. Looks like they are late for flying south and is trying to catch up. 😉

    Extraordinary minimalist photo. Such a subtle, yet powerful composition. The formation of birds make an arrow that points downwards, yet the lightness and open expanse of sky above them make it clear that they are soaring; while the relative darkness and lack of space below them, push them upwards by implication. Superb shot Sasi, good luck topping this one 🙂
