Weed?

Photo opportunity via a weedy bloom. Had a chance to play with my macro lens on this wonderful spring evening. Hope you are enjoying the spring weather too!

Fishing

Shot from my visit to the park near home. Found this gentleman fishing with his buddy on a wonderful spring evening. Interestingly, the slant on (almost) all the dried pods on the branches seems to be parallel with that of the slant on the tree’s trunk.

Lake Whetzel

Had some time to spend by lake Whetzel this evening while waiting for my daughter to get back from her chess club. I think this park/lake has a lot of offer. So you can see more pictures in the days to come 😉 It was a perfect spring day and I saw folks fishing, walking, […]

Bangs

A quick portrait of my daughter as she was working on her math homework this evening. I purposely bumped up the ISO on this shot as I was working on limited window lighting.

Looking up…

As much as I like to shoot flowers in their natural settings, there are times when I need more control on POV/lighting – read that as “pluck” the blooms…LOL It’s one of those days and had to gently pluck this daffodil for this indoor shot. Shot this by placing the daffodil close to the window and […]

Stressed

That’s the leaf on our plantain tree that has been indoors during the entire winter. As you could see it’s under stress (as seen by the sap on the leaf) and it’s raring for some fresh air. I think it’s about time for this to be left out in the patio.

POV

Quite a cold/windy day and I tried shooting hyacinths in my front yard. I want to experiment with a different point of view (POV) and really liked the way how the petals were curling up/down. Had this shot lying in my front yard while enjoying the pleasant smell from the hyacinths on this cold and […]

Conspicuous

Shot this building just for its conspicuous colors 😉 I pass this building on my way to work on weekdays and have been wanting to stop by for it’s colors. I had to run errands this morning and took a detour to take shots of this building. Surely they got my attention…
