Photo 365: Day 153 – Layers
No it’s not Photoshop layers that we all photographers know…LOL
My daughter has this Melissa & Doug easel and it has a spindle where the paper rolls sits. I think it might have been quite some time now since she has last used the paper for drawing and the paper roll has started curling.
As I noticed the paper curl last week, I thought it could be shot for an interesting abstract photo post.
So this evening I had to get underneath the easel to take this shot. As it was relatively darker beneath the easel, I had to bump up the ISO to 800 – hence the grain….here’s where D70 fails 🙁
But I am quite satisfied with today’s photo post.
Love the pattern and the B/W treatment…
I really like the “layers” in this shot. Great image. Great thinking ahead.
Interesting that you were under the easel. I just assumed you were looking down into the paper roll. Nice.
Cool concentric circles. Nice image.
Yeah, the noise is really the only complaint I have with my camera (D80) but I think it works for this!
like the noise – it adds texture and I love the very sharp focus on the edges of the paper.
I really like the grain in this shot. Very good!
very creative angle.
Nice detail. I have a Canon 50D and noise is always a problem for me.
I like the noise, I think it adds a bit of softness that enhances the composition. I know most people despise the presence of noise in their photos, but I find it quite attractive sometimes. I actually have a couple presets for lightroom that add varying degrees of noise.
It would have been unheard of in film days to take a photo on ISO800 film and not get significantly more noise than you have in this image.
