Photo 365: Day 210 – TDS: Light Source
Today’s daily shoot assignment: Turn the tables and make a photograph of a light source today. Light bulb, window, or even the sun (be careful!).
So decided to shoot Mr. Sun this evening as he’s my main source of light for photography 😉
Had this shot from behind one of our hydrangea bushes in our backyard. Used circular polarizer filter to make the sky look a bit cooler. The Sun was so bright that at one point I thought I was going to go blind.
Used Sigma zoom lens for this shot. Used manual mode and shot this @f/14 for 1/400 sec exposure – although the camera metering system(in spot meter mode) suggested I should shoot this at 1/2000 sec. I bet it was confused with flood of Sun light…
This is a wonderful image. I love the blue & green, the texture of the leaves. I am a fan a lens flare too.
Very nice composition. I almost want to get my sunglasses. 🙂
Nice shot Sasi. I like your use of the bright sunlight.
Great response to the challenge today. Great color for the sky, love the sun flair and the burst of light. Nicely done.
Very good. I too like the lens flare. And the composition. I especially like the translucence of the leaves.
Very nice. I love the back lit leaves.
The flare is wonderfull.
why didn’t you try to take one at 1/2000 to see what it would give….
Nice shot… I really like your take on this.
This is beautiful!! Nice work!
very cool an exellent idea
That’s a really pretty photo!
Very nice. I love lens flare & you got an amazing angle here. Great shot.
The sun is my light source of choice as well. This is a great shot.
I’ve always been timid about pointing the camera directly at the sun. I kinda figured if I would go blind looking at the sun, perhaps the camera would to. LOL
Great lens flare.
