Photo 365: Day 240 – TDS:Diagonal line
Todays daily shoot assignment: Make a photograph featuring a diagonal line or series of diagonal lines. Pull our attention through the photograph.
For TDS assignment, I want to shoot a diagonal line formed by an every day subject – that made me think for a while this evening. Then I saw my daughter with her evening cup of warm water in a tea cup. That’s how I ended up with shooting tea cup.
Tried with a straw/tea-cup/water to form a diagonal line – but due to shallow depth, and being light in weight, the straw didn’t workout. So ended up using a tiny silver spoon to form a diagonal line with tea cup and water.
Used Nikkor 60mm macro @f/3.3 to shoot this.
I really like the textures and contrast in this image. Really interesting diagonal lines.
Excellent photo!
Interesting take on the assignment, I like it! Now tell me you didn’t take your daughters cup away for this shot! 😛
Apart from this being a very creative take on the shooting assignment, and well executed (as usual) I love the processing. The cool, icy, slivery tones are a perfect interpretation of the scene. Nicely done.
Another beautiful shot, and a creative view to the assignment
You really worked at this one! Great job!
Gee Sasi, once again you took something ordinary and turned it an extraordinary shot. 😀 How did you get the b&W process?
I like everything about this. The composition, the clarity, the monotone treatment. Great job and photo.
You’ve given this shot lots of interest. I like the way the spoon handle breaks at the top of the cup.
Beautiful image!
Thanks for sharing your thought process on this.
great lighting and contrast here and lots of different details from the tiny bubbles on the back of the spoon to the outlines of the glass
