Photo 365: Day 246 – TDS: Hands
Todays daily shoot assignment: A person’s hands can tell a story. Take a picture of someone’s hands today.
We had a busy Sunday. We spent almost the entire afternoon at a picnic with friends and later this evening spent some quality time with friends.
I shot this picture of my little boy’s hands as he was enjoying watermelon at picnic this afternoon.
Beautiful image for the the Daily Shoot.
Very nice use of colours here, they all blend together so well.
I love this! I wanted to shoot chubby baby/toddler/little kid hands, but we’re all out of them. My baby is 5 now, and has big boy hands.
This is a very interesting picture, not because it tells a story, but because it doesn’t try to tell the whole story. Inevitably when I look at a photo like this, the story initially appears to be merely the captured act (or implied activity) but leaves each individual viewer imagine the whole story.
There are some people who will say: “but you didn’t show his face!”. Those are the people who have forgotten (or never knew) that photography is not about xeroxing the world, but about the art of capturing a story.
I think it’s a great shot, Sasi. I love watermelon, so I can imagine the taste and joy.
Very nice, I like that it’s missing watermelon, as in he’s in the process of eating it and enjoying it.
Nicely done Sasi, not just a shot of hands, but a shot with a story. THe photo says it without words.
Great photo, little kid hands make great subjects. (And that watermelon looks deee-lish!)
