Brazilian cheese bread

Another foodie shot 😉

Have been wanting to bake this tapioca + cheese bread for a while now and finally got to try it this morning. Turned out great and my daughter loved it.

But shooting this was a bit of a challenge due to unevenness in the puffed tops and any color contrast. So decided to go with high POV.

I think it turned out alright.

This one is all about shapes and texture for me. There is a great contrast between the pyramid formed by the buns and the irregular circles of the buns themselves. But then there are the circular shape of the plate to add some complexity. The colours confuses things for me though, I’d have done it in a monochrome (that is just my personal preference though). Great shot.

Oh my, I just love this POV! I love it when a photographer changes their original perspective on the shot due to challenges only to come out with an even better one. Great job!

I agree with the comment above, about all the contrasts in the photo: the round of the plate, the rolls, the placemat, and the textures of the bread, the cheese, the placemat, and then adding a triangle in the center. I think the color is more interesting than a monochrome shot, in this case, as I think the cheese might look odd in monochrome, and, I think the festiveness of the plate would be lost as well.

Also, on a different note, I’m more than willing to accept gifts of homemade Brazillian cheesebread….looks yummy!

Great shot Sasi! I’m a big fan of the top down POV, I’ve done a few recently and will be doing more. I also really like the placemat. The texture of it makes for a perfect counterpoint to the rest of the image and frames it nicely.
