Snow & Cherry
Shot this on a chilly evening.
As I was looking for mounds or such to shoot snow, what all I could find was snow on a flat surface.
Then I thought may be I should add some contrasting subject in this composition to bring in some interest. I did find a snow cone but rather found it flat for this composition. So I rummaged through our pantry and found a jar of sugar laden maraschino cherries that have not seen the daylight for a while 😉
So that’s how I ended up putting the maraschino cherry to use for this shoot.
Then I found it to be flat when I downloaded the picture to my desktop. So had to add a tad bit of edge burn to make it look better.
Have a great weekend folks!
nice shot matchan…
I like how the cherry is “bleeding” into the snow!
excellent as always!
Great shot Sasi, love the colour of the cherry! I really like how the cherry is at the edge of the vignette, great job!
Lovely work as usual Sasi, I think that instead of a vignette I might have tried a gradient from the left, the cherry not being in the centre feels a tad-bit off with the vignette 🙂 But that’s a nice crisp image, well taken!
Nicely done. The composition makes great use of the space to provide a great deal of emphasis to the subject. I love it.
Great idea! I like how the red of the cherry sort of “bleeds” into the snow around it.
This is such a great image! I love the ice. It creates such a great visual story.
Great shot Sasi, wonderful idea!
Great shot Sasi! Your creativity inspires me!
I like the composition and contrast here. Nice.
I like the simplicity of this shot. It also makes me crave for a cherry snow cone. 😉
I like the contrast and great use of negative space. Very nice. I see the winter blues is making you more creative.
