Shrimp ‘n dry gravy
It’s Sunday and had some spare time for a foodie shot.
I struggled a bit to come up with this composition. Originally tried these piled atop a rice and didn’t like that composition.
Then thought I should build a shrimp tower atop the rice bed..that didn’t work either. So went for this arrangement with the shrimp tower resting on a plate. Used some sliced English Cucumber in this composition to bring in colors and contrast the vertical shrimp tower.
I am quite pleased with this outcome and yes this was delicious 🙂
Oooh, fancy new signature Sasi! I’m jealous of all these photogs with a way cool logo/sig. Note to self: do that too! Oh and nice shot too. Makes me more than a little bit hungry – I missed lunch.
Thanks Mike.
Yes designing logo for my photo posts was on my list of to-dos for a long time. Finally got it done last night. One thing off my list 😉
That is a terrible photo to show someone who has been forced to make do with left overs all day! Nice one Sasi 🙂 I like the side view, rather than the usual from the top or diagonal that is normally done with food photos. Nice one.
Yay for shrimp towers!
the composition is great, and the cucumbers add just enough color to make the whole shot work!
nicely arranged and, is that a new logo?
Thanks Nigel. Yes, it is a new logo.
Love the new logo Sasi. The top shrimp kinda reminds me of a snake…is it bad that I saw a snake? 😛
Looks yummy! I might have curved the line of cucumbers around the back a bit just to give a different “shape” to the natural line – otherwise it’s perfect! Nice light, and great looking food!
Nice composition and lighting. Good idea to include the cucumbers, though I probably would show a little bit more or maybe arrange it behind. Yummy looking shrimps.
Sasi i could imagine how deliceous it would be…great shot
mmmmhhhh what time is lunch!!!!!!!
Oh you evil evil man! I am so hungry now I could reach through all that cabling across the ocean and grab that! Beautiful shot, looks most delicious… most delicious!!
