w52.10.3: Window

Visited Faust Park in Chesterfield with my little boy this evening and we walked by the historic Thornhill home. Before he ran out of patience I took couple of shots and really like this shot of window and sidings. I was drawn by the colors and contrast besides the lines.

w52.10.2: Pair of fish

Another shot from my recent visit to the St. Louis zoo. These are fresh water fishes in a huge “cave like” tank housed just outside River’s Edge area.

w52.10.1: Gazing…

Shot this during my recent visit to the St. Louis zoo. Besides animals/birds, St. Louis zoo houses Missour’s fresh water fishes in a huge “cave like” tank just outside River’s Edge area.

As I soon as I saw folks gazing at the huge cat fishes I want to take a shot at the scene  besides shooting fish(es) alone. So had to wait for the crowd to move out for this shot.

w52.9.4: Macaw

Took a day off of work and visited St. Louis Zoo with the family today – did I mention we are enjoying nice weather in St. Louis area 😉

Spotted this macaw while taking a stroll along River’s Edge area in St. Louis zoo.

w52.9.3: Relationship

That’s my kiddos walking hand in hand at a park close home. We are experiencing nice weather these past couple of days and I took my kids to a park close home.

As we were walking in the trails, I asked them to hold their hands and keep walking for this shot. I like the way this shot turned out.

w52.9.2: Nature Unframed

Another shot from our visit to Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL. Look close and you’ll see a couple of turtles basking in the Sun.

I wish I had more information about this art work though 😉

w52.8.5: Looking for sunlight…

Had a chance to walk in the park close home and shot this leaf looking for some sunlight – this leaf reminds me of the “sunlight experiment” that I did when I was a kid.

Good old school days 😉

w52.8.3: Well Knit tree

Knit tree – a snapshot from our trip to Morton Arboretum.

And there is my son and his cousin checking out the knit tree.

w52.8.2: A classic perspective shot

A classic perspective shot from my recent visit to Chicago area. We stayed with the family during our trip and this is shot of the hallway just outside the place we stayed.

As soon as I saw this hallway I made a note to self  to shoot this hallway during my stay there. I had to venture out when the kids went to bed so that I could shoot this classic perspective shot 😉

w52.7.4: Floral abstract

Has been a busy week fixing my 5+ year old PC. Over the past 5 years it has got too much software/junk and it had gotten to point that it needed a fresh start. So I was busy getting it back in shape, keeping things clean/organized and didn’t get much time to shoot.

Finally this evening spent few minutes in the backyard shooting floral blooms. When I saw this climbing rose, I knew I had to do a abstract shot.

Shot this using my Sigma 150mm macro lens.
