Photo 365: Day 51 – Radish bunch
During our grocery shopping this morning, we picked a radish bunch and today’s subject for my Photo project is radish.

Another bokeh…I told more bokeh posts are to come, right?
We got the colorful Minnie Mickey piggy bank during our trip to Disney Land in 2000 and during our last trip to India got a golden Mickey pendant. So here is my attempt to combine the two in a snap 😉
I had my wife hold the pendant for me while I was using D70/60mm micro Nikkor to picture these in manual mode.
Another tulip picture?
I know…I need to move on 😉
I just love the explosion of colors here.
Here is a picture of Abraham Lincoln on a penny coin to commemorate President’s day.
I totally had something else in mind for today’s post. But had to change my mind at the last moment as by the time I got home and got settled to take picture it was too late to capture anything just with natural lighting.
So I took this old penny from loose change and used little Brasso and elbow grease to make the penny shine a bit. Then had the penny sit on a book on the window sill and shot this in manual setting using Nikkor 60mm macro lens.
Here is a picture of a tulip beginning to bloom. I want to capture the picture of tulip in a different view/composition and with the tulip beginning to bloom, I thought I should try picturing it looking top down. It was snowing outside, and had the tulip vase close to the window and pictured this with the plenty of light reflecting from the snow outside the window.
It turned out really good.
Ah Tulips…who doesn’t like them. Bought these at Costco yesterday (I believe these were from Canada), and took pictures of tulips this noon using natural lighting. I really like the way these turned out 😉

Had to go to Costco on my way from work this evening and bought a box of ‘sin free’ Sofella Brownie mix – though to me sin free means veggies/fruits 😉 Anyway, got home and we baked these petite brownies – yeah we got Valentine in our home. These turned really good and mixing/baking was easy as well. You just need to add yogurt to the mix, mix it, and bake it.
I started taking pictures of these brownies and also took a picture of the girls in the box as I already had the idea of diptych in my mind set for today’s photo post. I thought the picture turned out OK to my taste.
Here is a picture of golden tassel on our console lamp shade. I kind of like the shadows in the background as it gives a depth to the capture.
