Photo 365: Day 140 – Flight
Today is theme Thursday and the theme is Flight.
As my wife and kids are leaving to India this weekend on an early summer vacation, doing a photo post with Flight theme turned out quite easy.
Basically I started collecting materials for the past 3 days – my daughter had a world map she had got from Subway with her meal. I used this as a base. Then used the e-tickets, motion sickness chewables, and my little boy’s toy to put this together.
On a related note, I used flash based Picnik (online photo editor) for editing this – since I am traveling this week, I am traveling lite and didn’t want to load CS4 on my laptop. I was amazed at the features Picnik offers and it’s free 😉

Unfortunately I don’t get to fly this time as I don’t have much vacation (yet).
Very nice theme photo! I’ve used Picnik for a couple years, and I really like it for the very reasons you stated – it’s free, works well, and doesn’t take up space on my computer. I usually use Photoshop, but there are times when Picnik is just what I need.
So far I like Picnik. It’s lite and I will definitely use it in the future as well when I ever I work on my Ubuntu system.

I think this is really fun! The little plane really pulls everything together, I think. But a 14-hour flight, yikes!
Unfortunately the 14 hour flight is just the first leg of their journey. They have to travel further and by the time they reach their destination they have traveled for almost a day.
