Photo 365: Day 253 – TDS: Scale
Todays daily shoot assignment: Play with scale today. Make a photo of something small that looks huge.
Fun TDS assignment. Used my little boy’s digger toy for this assignment. We had some landscape stone from our last landscaping project and used those for this set-up.
Initially I had trouble shooting the subject to look huge – I was shooting real close with the zoom lens at its wide end and later figured I had to shoot at low angle to make the subject look huge.
Not an easy assignment, you have met the challenge quite nicely. The use of the stone cements the illusion. I’d have positioned the camera front or back of the digger though, and come from an even lower angle to make it loom more in the frame.
Doesn’t look like my shot today is going to upload any time soon, the internet is insisting on making me wait 🙂
Too fun! the rocks really help add to the illusion of a large scale truck.
Totally fun shot. I love it.
Love this. Nice answer to the challenge.
Very nice take on this theme. I really like the added rocks. Clever
clever composition and very special yellow
Great job! This is a great response to the assignment.
Nice work, this is one of those photos where I wished you had used a deeper DoF, but still, a nice shot.
That’s not an easy thing to do. You did it well, though.
Great idea and well done. The toy truck looks gigantic and the stones look like boulders. Love the light.
I like it
you did great with this challenge.
