Photo 365: Day 331 – On a rainy day…
Another rainy day here in St. Louis. By the time I got home this evening after sitting in rain/traffic, there wasn’t any natural light for my daily shoot.
So thought I will shoot something to depict the weather here – that’s how I ended up with this rainy day symmetry.
As I had left my umbrella in the garage to dry out, I noticed the interesting color/pattern formed by the garage light falling through the umbrella. Had this shot with 50mm @f/1.4 for 1/25th sec exposure.
The rain and umbrella really make an interesting photo composition.
Wonderful!! Easily one of your best ‘unnatural’ light pictures! I wish it rains more often than it snows, here in Hamburg 🙂
Oh my goodness! This is a remarkable photo, beautifully envisioned and executed. Don’t mean to gush, but these types of photos are a particular favourite of mine. Excellent!
I like the interesting composition and backlight. Didn’t know an umbrella can look so good. 😉
I love what you have done here. I work with natural light all the time. I want to get more creative. Nice blog!
Makes me wanna pull out my umbrella and try this. Very creative!
gorgeous light and texture.
Very pretty…looks like gold.
