Up the hill
Another shot from my walk along Michigan Ave in Chicago – shot this last week as well.
It was just about 2:00 PM and this hill was flocked with sledding enthusiasts of all ages despite the weather in the teens.
I was drawn by the silhouette of the statue against the high-rise condos (which were few blocks away from this hill) and the snow covered hill with footsteps.
I really like the composition here, everything works to lead your eye up to the silhouette of the statue and the buildings in the background form an interesting counterpoint. This is another great shot.
I will take example from you again and undertake a similar exercise. I’ve got lots of photos that didn’t make the cut for the 365 but aren’t bad. Thanks for the idea (again :))
I second what Nikhil said! I love the way the hill leads the eye, and I love the winter light on this. Great job!
I love the statue and the double sun spots. Awesome shot.
Agreed, I love how the foot prints lead up the hill to the statue! Great job Sasi.
Chicago-ans like Bostonians will not let weather in the teens keep us inside. LOL
Obviously not. Otherwise we would spend a lot of time indoors.
Beautiful image. I love the footsteps leading to the statue. I also really like the sun flairs reflecting off of the high rise condos. Thanks for sharing.
lovely, truly a great work
Really nice composition!
I love the sunlight glinting off the buildings, very nicely done!!!!
