That’s my son enjoying his favorite show on PBS. I didn’t use flash for this shot (as I didn’t want to lose the moment) so had to bump up the ISO and ended up with a grainy portrait. But I’m overall satisfied with the outcome.

You captured his engrossment perfectly. And as for the grain I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again a little grain looks good (to me) in a photo. Gives it a nice look in my view. Nicely done.
First of all he’s adorable!
What a great portrait – you caught him in a natural pose and he didn’t even know you were there.
The grain works perfect especially for the black and white image. Great shot.
I have to say that I like a little grain in B&W portraits. Love the shallow depth of field. Nice composition!
I would be happy with this one too, even with the bit of grain. It’s a priceless shot, if you ask me.
Wonderful!

I like it. I like the shadow on his cheek… his eyelashes?? cute boy.
What a cutie! I agree that grain on black and white photos is nice!
I think you caught the moment perfectly! What show is he watching? Like everyone else said, the grain works rather well.
The grain works perfectly with the B&W Sasi, awesome capture!

Nice shot, the grain actually adds the the image, especially as you did a BW rendering.
