Photo 365: Day 296 – Anjou Pears

I got the idea to shoot pears this afternoon as I was enjoying my fruit snack at work.

Got home after running errands and it was already getting dark – so quickly had to set this up in the kitchen windowsill for this shot.

Used soft focus filter to soften the cuts and dark spots on these ripened pears.

Photo 365: Day 295 – Yellow Rose

Another busy Sunday. Had to prep my tropical plants for winter this afternoon and by the time I got done, I was pretty worn out.

So went around my backyard and did a macro shot of this  yellow rose.

Photo 365: Day 294 – Pomegranate

Ah..pomegranate season is here 😉

I really like the bokeh in this shot – which I noticed only after downloading this image to my desktop.

Photo 365: Day 293 – Silhouette

My original thought was to go to a park close home for my daily shoot. But I had to change my plan as the park was closed for vehicular traffic.

So shot this silhouette of church close home for day:293

Photo 365: Day 292 – Pumpkin

Not much inspiration for today….

Shot this pumpkin which we had bought to carve…shot this using natural window lighting.

Photo 365: Day 291 – Strawberry

Bought a box of strawberries while shopping at Trader Joe’s yesterday and that’s the subject for today’s photo post.

Photo 365: Day 290 – Daniel Boone Bridge (bonus)

Shot this on our way to my daughter’s music class this evening. As my wife was driving, I get to relax and shoot this evening 😉

I love shooting bridges and this one is my favorite.

Photo 365: Day 290 – Butterfly House Reflection (bonus)

Spent few minutes with my little boy at the Faust Park this evening while waiting on my wife/daughter to return from my daughter’s music class this evening.

I had to convince my little one that I will spend only few minutes before he can enjoy his slide/swing at the park 😉

I really like the way this shot turned out with limited light.

There is one more photo post for day:290

Photo 365: 290 – Contrails

Quick one for day:290 before I head out for my daughter’s outside school activities.

Shot this couple of days ago while I looked up through my kitchen window while doing the dishes – that’s what sous chef do, right? 😉

I thought it was interesting for the reason that I saw perfect symmetry formed by intersecting contrails.

Photo 365: Day 289 – Abstract

Abstract is the theme for my today’s photo post.

I got inspired by Nikhil’s recent abstract post and want to recreate his work – he may call it plagiarization 😉

Today’s was a really windy day and shooting plantain leaf was nearly impossible outside. So I ended up shooting the plantain’s trunk.
