w52.15.1: Tandoori Salmon

Read that as tandoori marinated salmon…

It’s been quite some time now since my last foodie related shot for my w52 project. I really like spending time on foodie themed shot(s), but it takes some time setting up the food/subject for the shoot and by the time I got it all setup and ready to shoot, someone is already hungry at home 🙂

Overall I am a tad bit satisfied with this shot – with 60mm macro, this shot ended up as a macro..may be next time I have to stick to my 50mm prime for foodie shot(s).

w52.13.1: Black-eyed Susan

Continuing with my summer blooms shots 😉

Shot this at a park close home. As I was experimenting with my POV, I noticed the lighting on this particular plant was interesting. There were tall grasses behind these bushes and with the evening sunlight half of this particular bush was in shade and the other half was well-lit.

Really liked the way the lighting turned out in this shot. I think it gives a feel that this bloom was lit by a flash.

w52.12.3: Coneflower

Shot this coneflower at a park close home while waiting for my daughter to return from her chess club meet this evening.

w52.12.1: Phlox

Phlox is in full bloom in our front yard.
Shot this phlox bloom late this afternoon on a hot muggy summer day.

w52.11.1:Just after rain…

Originally planned on posting something else for today’s post but that got changed with rain this afternoon.

Shot this hydrangea leaf studded with raindrops as the rain was taking a break 😉

w52.5.2: Simplicity

That’s a shot of climbing rose from our backyard. With all the rain these days, shot this indoors…

On a rainy day...

w52.4: On a rainy day…

On a rainy day...

And the spring rain seems to be continuing here in St. Louis. It’s not a downpour but it’s continuous drizzle with a drop in temperature that makes you less productive…but then again, it’s Sunday 😉

w52.3.1: Abstract

Now that I’ve posted pictures of muffin in my photo blog umpteen times, want to try a different POV.

As this muffin (in a cupcake liner) was cooling – tilted halfway on a muffin pan, I shot this using Nikkor 60mm macro lens. With window lighting falling on the muffin, it gave a nice bokeh on the muffin top.

Lots of Clover

w52.2.1: Lots of Clover

Ready to bloom

First it was daffodil, followed by hyacinths to bloom in our yard. Now it’s  dandelion’s turn to bloom.

I need to find the recipe for dandelion tea now 😉
