Clementines again

And my experiment with clementines as subject continues 😉

Not an original idea for this still life shot…but then again in photography is there such thing as copying, considering there are so many parameters and PP in one’s arsenal that one could use to emulate another shot.

Shot this with window lighting and used a homemade aluminum foil board as a reflector.

Faded glory

Shot this remnants of Aster in our front yard couple of days ago…a symbol of faded glory but still beautiful.

On a rainy day…

This shot should depict the weather here in St. Louis today.

I was a bit surprised to see snow when I woke up this morning. As the day progressed rain turned into sleet and rain…

So what do you do when it rains and have some time to kill…go out with your camera and look for photo ops 😉

Have a great weekend folks!

Kids at play

Shot this couple of days ago when my kids were enjoying the warm weather outside.

Makes me wonder where did the warm weather go..today’s weather in the 30’s feels like we are heading right back to winter again 😉

Portrait

I was pleasantly surprised when my daughter obliged to my request for a quick pose 😉

I have already blogged in the past that she is not good at posing for a shot…either she shies away or makes a silly smile, which just sounds like me. I tell folks that I take pictures to hide behind the camera 😉

Anyway, shot this using my macro lens as that’s what I had in my camera and didn’t want to lose the moment.

Colors of Spring

Spotted this almost dead looking twig and new growth…call it wonders of spring.

Welcome Spring!

We are doing a home renovation project and I tried staying away from blogging. With daffodils in full bloom, I couldn’t resist from taking few pictures this evening…having said/done that, I am back to blogging 😉

Now I need to catch up on my fellow photo bloggers photo posts.

Welcome Spring!

Another day…

When you’re uninspired and bored shoot an egg or eggs… 😉

Holes

Spotted these holes on our ice/snow covered backyard this evening.

Upon close observation, they turned out to be caused by a furry friend (read that as rabbit) in our backyard who has done his/her business 😉

Snow & Cherry

Shot this on a chilly evening.

As I was looking for mounds or such to shoot snow, what all I could find was snow on a flat surface.

Then I thought may be I should add some contrasting subject in this composition to bring in some interest. I did find a snow cone but rather found it flat for this composition. So I rummaged through our pantry and found a jar of sugar laden maraschino cherries that have not seen the daylight for a while 😉

So that’s how I ended up putting the maraschino cherry to use for this shoot.

Then I found it to be flat when I downloaded the picture to my desktop. So had to add a tad bit of edge burn to make it look better.

Have a great weekend folks!
