Visit to the St. Louis zoo isn’t complete without the ride on their zooline train 😉
Shot this as we were waiting on the train car for the folks to join us on the ride.

Another gorgeous day in St. Louis and we decided to make use of this wonderful weather by visiting the St. Louis Zoo.
I decided to go with my Craigslist bought Nikon 28mm pancake lens for this visit. It took me a while to get used to this manual E series lens but started liking it once I got the hang of this lens.
As we were entering the River’s Edge area, my wife and kids were walking past this pink bloom and I had to stop few seconds to get this composition.
And the experimentation with the light continues…
As I was getting ready to bed last night, I noticed the speck of light creeping in through the closed door. So I thought I should try it out for today’s photo post.
Used 28mm manual Nikkor for this try out. Shot this at f/5.6 @13sec exposure.
I really like those perpendicular lines towards the bottom…have to say it again “Life is made of Math & Science“
We did a kick start to our vegetable gardening for this year by sowing seeds this evening. The idea is to grow beets, and bell peppers in containers – there by keeping these away from rabbits. Also sown today were hot peppers, and onions. These will be planted in the ground (later) as bunnies stay away from these.
