Sculptures
Shot these sculptures behind a high-rise condo on Wabash Ave – these were shot last week during my visit to Chicago.
I wish I knew more about these interesting trio fox sculptures.

Another shot from my walk along Michigan Ave in Chicago – shot this last week as well.
It was just about 2:00 PM and this hill was flocked with sledding enthusiasts of all ages despite the weather in the teens.
I was drawn by the silhouette of the statue against the high-rise condos (which were few blocks away from this hill) and the snow covered hill with footsteps.
I am going through my photo archive and planning to post a few pics that didn’t make it to my photo blog.
Shot this last week in Chicago just outside Palmer House Hilton hotel. I think this was on Wabash Ave.
I was drawn by the wall decor.
Bliss – that sums up my feelings at the end of this 365 project.
When I started my 365 project, my intention was to get back into taking pictures as I have gotten busy with other things in life. So I am immensely satisifed on finishing up this project.
There are a few things I was able to accomplish via this project
Things I wish I had learned via this project
I want to thank all my photo blog viewers for taking time to spend some time viewing and taking time to comment on my blog posts. Your comments are real supportive. I think comments plays a vital role in blog community. Though it could be few words, it makes a big difference at the end of the day.
It gave me the feel that I have a target audience and that’s what made me keep shooting. So your comments are much appreciated.
Wishing you all a Blissful Happy New Year!
That’s my kiddo playing with his firetruck. I tried convincing him for a portrait for day:365, but I figured the best way to take picture of him is to get him involved in his play.
I like the way this shot turned out. Shot this with window lighting when it was raining outside, so it was a bit darker than it used to be.
Shot from this morning as we were returning home from Chicago. My wife shot this for me and I like the view…
Shot this basket ball sized sculpture (these are part of hand rails) on the bridge close by Roosevelt and State Street in downtown Chicago.
For folks not familiar with Chicago skyline, the skyscraper in the background is the Willis Towers (aka Sears Tower)
One thing I have been wanting to try before finishing up my Photo 365 project is with street photography. I had a perfect opportunity to try it out last night. Went for a walk along Michigan Ave last night for about an hour.
One big issue that I had to toil with during my walk was bitter cold weather. I think the temperature was in the teens and the wind chill was 9F. May be I should try doing this again in summer time.
Shot this while folks were waiting for the signal to cross the road.
I picked this one amongst other shots for its festive mood and anticipation of waiting…
I remember seeing this hot dog vendor bustling with people back in May. When I went there this noon, this place was closed – although I spotted couple of other hot dog vendors still open by the Shed Aquarium. I am guessing proximity of this store to the lake being the reason.
If you are following my 365 project, this picture should look a bit familiar – I had these trees in row shot back in May (Day:142). I am visiting Chicago, and want to go back and see/shoot those trees in winter.
So I got bundled up on this cold day and went for a walk along Michigan Lake early this afternoon and shot these trees with snow covered ground.
