w52.12.2: Itsy bitsy spider
It’s been a while since I last posted a macro shot and as I was looking for a macro subject this evening, I spotted this itsy bitsy spider on our porch.
Used Sigma 150mm macro lens for this shot.

w52.9.1: Dreamy
Another shot of a rose bloom from my backyard. I went for a high POV for this abstract looking bloom shot.
w52.7.4: Floral abstract
Has been a busy week fixing my 5+ year old PC. Over the past 5 years it has got too much software/junk and it had gotten to point that it needed a fresh start. So I was busy getting it back in shape, keeping things clean/organized and didn’t get much time to shoot.
Finally this evening spent few minutes in the backyard shooting floral blooms. When I saw this climbing rose, I knew I had to do a abstract shot.
Shot this using my Sigma 150mm macro lens.
w52.6.1: Petal Abstract
Any my floral shot continues…
Peonies are in full bloom in our yard and as I have already done few shots of Peonies during my 365 project last year (Festival Maxima Peony, Karl Rosenfield Peony, Sarah Bernhardt Peony) I was aiming for a macro/abstract shot.
Ended up using my Sigma 150mm macro lens for this petal abstract shot.
w52.2.2: Ants
My daughter had left milk in her cereal bowl this morning and when we got back home this evening, I was presented with this photo opportunity of ants sipping the milk. This scene reminds me of something I watched in National Geographic channel long time ago of animals quenching their thirst in a water hole 😉
Look close and you’ll see the reflection of the ants – gives the feel these little guys are staring at their reflection 😉
Explosion
No, not that kind of explosion. We are not talking about the “B” word…
When I see this, I see an explosion of some sort..kind of resembles firework, doesn’t it?
Seed Head
You have seen egg head(s) before in my photo blog..and here comes seed head..i.e, Dandelion seed head 😉
Macro me
And the daffodil said – “macro me” 😉
Firecracker Flower/Bud
Firecracker Flower – another ‘babied’ tropical plant that has survived this winter. This has survived 3 winters now – as it’s grown in a flower pot, it’s easy to move around with the change in season.
Used Sigma 150mm macro lens @f/9.0 for this shot.
If you love macro and got some cash to invest in photography hobby, this is one of the best lens I would suggest.
Arabian Jasmine
That’s one of the bud on our ‘babied’ Arabian Jasmine plants that has survived this harsh winter as it gets to grow comfortably at 60° F indoors 😉
