Photo 365: Day 100 – 100

100 days since I started my Photo 365 project. Seems like yesterday (not really) since I posted my first photo post for my 365 project. I have to admit though, it’s not been easy going on this project. There are times I didn’t had any inspiration and even thought may be I should quit. Somehow I have kept it going on this so far…

So to mark 100 days on my project, decided to shoot these glow in the dark sticks that I picked from the Dollar store this morning. I had trouble setting this up though…so its not a great capture, but its a milestone.

Thanks for visiting/commenting and tomorrow is another day 😉

The milestone is as important as the photo itself. Its the discipline of exercising our creativity and practicing our skills that ultimately increases the ratio of keepers.

I have also realised that inspiration isn’t something that just comes to us, it may sometmes seem that way – but it is like luck and we have to make our own luck. By being there (with a camera), experimenting and putting ourselves in new situations. Personally I have spent 2 nights in a row exploring new neighbourhoods and came home empty handed and though I may have ended up grabbing my project photos close to home, but I don’t consider it to have been a waste of time because my head is now full of ideas for how to go back and shoot those areas.

And of course there is always the next day’s photo to look forward to.

Congrats for getting that far. I know how you feel about keeping it going, and I’m only 35 days into it. I think the hardest part is the expectations I put on myself. I don’t want to get snapshots but “make art” and that is much more difficult. Keep it up — you’ll make it.

Thanks Judy. I think I have the same thing in my mind. I want my capture to be something that I will come back and relish rather than being another snapshot. So my expectations are similar to yours.

      Thanks BitterSweet.

I am always inspired by your food photos and blog posts. Your photos on you blog posts are really vibrant and I am impressed with the composition.

Do you use strobes for your food photos?
