Photo 365: Day 232 – Papaya
Not much inspiration for TDS assignment this evening 🙁
I had few try outs this evening with TDS: glass theme – but none of ’em turned out to my likeliness. So asked suggestion from my wife and she thought may be I should try out with papaya fruit that we had got from international grocery store yesterday.
So todays subject for my 365 project is Papaya 😉
Shot this using natural window lighting. Used 50mm Nikon prime @f5.6 for this shot.
There is one my photo post for day 232 – Papaya seeds: macro.
I don’t like papaya but this is a great shot.
You have a real knack for food photography. A very carefully arranged and photographed shot. I love the curve of the bananas on the right.
Thanks Nikhil.
Hi there! Just stumbled upon your photoblog; what a great shot of that papaya. The natural light is really, really nice! I admire that you are in the progress of a 365 project, that takes so much dedication! I bet you are learning a great deal. I have thought about doing it but haven’t brought myself to the task yet!
Great job!
-Heather 🙂
Heather, Thanks for stopping by. Definitely I have learned quite a bit from my 365 project and I will definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to learn photography. I would suggest starting a lighter version of this project – like Photo 52 (or) 1 pic/week 😉
Very nice shot, I like the woodgrain below and the greenery behind, very nicely done.
I have to agree with Nikhhil, you do have a knack for food photography. Although I prefer your macro shot of the papaya, this one is still a very nice image.
Good composition and choice of color contrast. Nice shot even if you were uninspired. 😉
Great shot. I think that I prefer this to yesterday’s macro. There is more to hold my interest
I think I agree, I like this one over the macro…now if I only liked papaya! 😉
