Photo 365:Day 281 – Clock on a pole
Decided to take a break from daily shoot assignments 😉
I got inspired by Nikhil Ramkarran’s style of photography and want to try something new. I spent some time analyzing my pictures (from this project) and got the feel most of these were staged (where I have much control over the lighting and setup).
So I want to try something new – will have to see if I can stick to this as I try spending less than 30 minutes or so for this project amidst other things that keep me busy these days.
Took my daughter to library close home this afternoon and shot this clock on a pole close to the library.
Very nice Sasi. I like this of-centre composition. The b&w and smoothing treatment are also very nice. Gives it a very old world feel. Oh I answered your lens question it’s this onehttp://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CMNL52/ref=oss_product
Very nice.
It is amazing how much time this project can take up. I try to find a balance between staging and just getting lucky.
i appreciate your white management wonderful depth too
Well turn about is fair play I guess. I so often take inspiration (downright plagarism occasionally :)) from you. I like the b&w treatment, and specifically the vignette. It brings an antique feel to a subject that really benefits from it. Nicely done.
First, excellent choice in making this black & white. I love the starkness of it. Really nice shot.
Strange looking clock but a well composed photo and great tone.
I agree with Wes on this one, it has a very “Old-World Photograph” about it, love it Sasi! Very well done, looking forward to seeing more like it.
