Sensor Dust
Not a pretty picture for today’s photo post.
Finally decided to checkout how bad the dust have accumulated on my trusty 6+ year Nikon D70 sensor. I’ve already blogged about dust on my sensor in one of my earlier post.
But I was really surprised to see how bad the sensor is marred.
Already tried blowing off dust using a rocket-air blower with limited or no success. Next is to try sensorswipe.
Perhaps it’s time to replace my D70 😉
Wish me luck!
Sensor Dust gives a old film !! Go for Full Frame DSLR
How do you do this?
That is pretty bad, but hardly a reason to replace the camera (unless you are looking for a spouse resistant excuse :)) And if she is anything like mine, you are out of luck, ’cause she will probably just offer to clean it for you.
More seriously, I find Eclipse cleaning products to be very good (and less expensive than the liquid gold which apparently comes in visible dust bottles).
That is indeed pretty dirty. However, a good cleaning at a local camera shop should run you about $50. Much better than replacing the camera.
impressive. I really should check mine 🙂 Good Luck Sasi
Old film, nice! Good luck Sasi and as Nikhil pointed out, could be a good spouse resistant excuse! Amy would just look at me and laugh if I used that one. 😀
Holy cow, that’s a lot of stuff. Good luck.
Yowza, sensor dust indeed! I’d probably go with a local camera store cleaning myself, but if you try to DIY, be sure to let us know how it goes!
Looks — pretty — dirty alright. Good luck Sasi. Although, a new camera… hum.. 😉
Oh No! Good luck – I vote for a new camera. Upgrade.
Go for the Nikon D7000 – much more dust resistant. And loads of fun to use.
