Sliced
It’s one of those days that we photog encounter very often…got something up in the mind but when you try putting these together (or execute), you don’t like the way things turn out or at least you know it won’t work.
I had a foodie related shot in mind but it didn’t work out this morning. So I ended up doing a macro shot of sliced strawberry. Since I have already shot strawberry (day: 291, day: 39) for my 365 project, had to go for a different way of plating these for this shot.
Sasi, this is such a different shot, it stands out like a winner! What great creative thinking of something new to do with strawberries.
I like this! It’s the little touches, like the leaves, that really make the shot work!
The green against the red makes this pop. As always, lovely!
perfect selective focus
I haven’t seen a food shot from you in the longest while where you made a misstep, and this one is certainly no exception. But I am wondering about the other food shot which didn’t turn out as you wanted, I’m curious to see what went wrong and why.
If I have one minor quibble, its that I’d have liked just a bit more depth of field so a bit more of the top slice would be sharp.
Yummy looking – great set up, nice lighting and just the perfect amount of green.
Lovely composition, the leaves certainly add to the image. I am also really curious to the other foodie shot! 😀
Great shot Sasi! I know the frustration of not having a shot work out the way you want it to, but sometimes what you come away with instead is even better, like here!
