That building with a giant mural…
If you are from St. Louis area you should be able to recognize this giant mural shot with a painted sculpture of Peace..It’s a shot of Sheraton in downtown St. Louis.
I have passed this building umpteen times and have been wanting to take a shot of this mural. I had a chance to visit Amtrak station last evening and shot this from Civic Center MetroLink station.
That is an interesting looking building, I can just imagine how much fascination this has for you as a photographer. I’ve often “saved” photos like this for a rainy day when I really needed to get a photo and didn’t have any prospects. Nice shot.
What a neat looking building, I almost didn’t think it looked like a building. I like the angle you took. The shadows of the arms holding the birds gives it nice depth.
Well, I see it’s not a building…but it look great.
It’s a painting on a building…I will post a picture with a different POV later this evening.
mervelous frame, exelent work
Is that a painting? the shadows are painted as well?
Its an eye catching image 🙂
Yes; it’s a painting on a building. The artist has done such a wonderful job with painting the shadows that it gives an illusion that it’s three dimensional. You can read more about the artist (Richard Haas) at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Haas
What a very interesting building! The bird shadow is really cool but I keep finding myself wandering to the sky, it’s a tad distracting to me. Okay, I played the scrolling game (sky in view, then scrolled out of view..yea, I am a dork) and you know, the sky (to me) does add to the image. Perhaps it balances out the image. Nice job Sasi.
What an awesome mural! I would love to see that in person.
Impressive looking mural/building, I really want to see that other POV to get a better impression of what you’re describing 🙂
That is amazing! Would have never thought that was a mural if you didnt point it out. Great capture of great art!
Wow!
Great shot. I wouldn’t have thought it a mural either. Nice.
