Photo 365: Day 269 – TDS: Power Plug

Today’s daily shoot assignment: Power plugs are ubiquitous. Can you make a creative photo of such a common thing? Try it today!

Well it’s not a power plug but it’s a HomePlug πŸ˜‰

I use HomePlug technology, to distribute broadband Internet via electrical wires @home. That’s the subject for TDS assignment.

Photo 365: Day 267 – TDS: Fence

Today’s daily shoot assignment: Fences and walls can divide or demarcate. Make a creative photo of a fence or wall today.

Visited my Friend’s home this afternoon and took this picture with the Fence assignment in mind. IMHO fence is a boring subject, so had this shot with the fence as the background.

Photo 365: Day 262 – TDS: Mirror

Today’s daily shoot assignment: Use a mirror as part of a composition in a photograph today. Show yourself in the image if you’d like!

Had a chance to take my little boy to Faust Park this evening while my wife took my daughter for her singing lesson this evening.

As we were driving around the park, I saw another photog taking pictures of ducks in the near by pond and shot this looking through the rear view mirror.

I really like the way it turned out.

Also there is a bonus shot for TDS: Mirror assignment –> here.

Photo 365: Day 262 – TDS: Mirror (bonus)

Bonus shot for TDS: Mirror assignment.

Shot this on our way to my daughter’s singing lesson this evening. As my wife was driving, I get to relax and play with my camera πŸ˜‰

As I knew we will be driving over the Boone’s Crossing bridge, I had quite some time to get the exposure and timing right.

I like the symmetry and reflection in this shot.

Photo 365: TDS: Foliage

Today’s daily shoot assignment: Showcase the beauty of living foliage! Make a photo of a single leaf or an entire “greenscape” today.

Hmm..it’s definitely not a living foliage. I didn’t realize it has to be “living” foliage until this evening when I was getting ready to post. Well, that’s my shot for TDS: Foliage assignment πŸ˜‰

Had this shot while waiting for my daughter to return from her chess club meet.

Saw this fallen leaf atop my car roof, and shot this by holding the leaf against the Sun’s rays (falling through the tree branches) with one hand while holding/shooting with the camera on the other hand.

Photo 365: Day 255 – TDS: Frame

Today’s daily shoot assignment: Use a door or window as a framing device to contain a smaller scene today.

Kitchen window – that’s my subject for TDS:Framing assignment.

There is a bonus picture for Day 255 –> here.

Bonus picture for TDS:Frame assignment.

As I was trying to see if I could make use my daughter’s old doll house for TDS assignment, my little boy was curious to see what I was doing. Shot this from the other side of the doll house. Making him to stay in a place was a tough job though – had to convince him with a gummy for this shot;)

Although not a perfect frame, I kind of like this shot.

Photo 365: Day 247 – TDS: Cheery Photo

Todays daily shoot assignment: Welcome the new week (and holiday in the US) by making a bright cheery photo outdoors and posting it today.

I don’t like the idea of posting pictures shot earlier, but today is an exception. I shot this yesterday during picnic with friends.

That’s a picture of my friend holding his daughter in the swing.

When I see this picture, it brings immense happiness to me. I like the way he is holding his daughter and looking into her eyes – so, this is my bright cheery photo outdoors for TDS assignment πŸ˜‰

Photo 365: Day 241 – TDS:Local Weather

Todays daily shoot assignment: Illustrate your local weather today with a photo. Rain or shine. Cloudy or clear. Communicate what it’s like to the world.

We had a nice weather in St. Louis today. It was sunny most of the day with max temperature at about 90 F Β and later this evening we had some showers.

Shot this just outside our house when I got back from work this evening.

Used Sigma 17-70mm lens at its wide end @f/8 for this shot.
