Bridging the gap

w52.2.3: Bridging the gap

Bridging the gap

Had a chance to visit The Magic House with the family today. We all had a good time – kids had quite a bit of fun with hands-on activities.

Later this evening as we were getting back to the car, we came across this sculpture and my son was quick enough to run and was trying to bride the gap…I remember him saying, “I can’t”. May be next time when he is a big kiddo, he should be able to bridge the gap.

Of all the shots from our visit, my wife and I loved this shot – liked the way he’s trying hard to fill in and shadows seem to have worked nicely in this shot. So thought I should share it in my blog.

Fishing

Shot from my visit to the park near home. Found this gentleman fishing with his buddy on a wonderful spring evening.

Interestingly, the slant on (almost) all the dried pods on the branches seems to be parallel with that of the slant on the tree’s trunk.

Lake Whetzel

Had some time to spend by lake Whetzel this evening while waiting for my daughter to get back from her chess club. I think this park/lake has a lot of offer. So you can see more pictures in the days to come 😉

It was a perfect spring day and I saw folks fishing, walking, and families taking pictures at the park.

I like the way this “reflection” shot turned out. Bonus to this shot – those kids and Mom “marching” into the frame.

Have a great weekend folks!

Conspicuous

Shot this building just for its conspicuous colors 😉

I pass this building on my way to work on weekdays and have been wanting to stop by for it’s colors. I had to run errands this morning and took a detour to take shots of this building.

Surely they got my attention…

Feeling Lucky?

Found this clover growing alongside an indoor tropical plant and thought this picture should be appropriate for today 🙂

Happy St. Patrick’s day!

Reflection

Shot from the visit to the park close home.

I would have missed the reflection/shadows of those two trees if I haven’t changed my POV.

Tree by the lake

I have been to this park close home umpteen times but never got to explore much…

But took a walk with my camera and came up with this shot…no wonder it’s been said and said…change your POV and keep your eyes wide open 😉

Perfect sunset

Weather wise it turned out to be a pretty good day. We had a sunny day and definitely felt like spring is here (finally).

That being said, sunset was pretty too…

Spotted the king(?)

Spotted this graffiti art underneath the Lake Shore Dr. bridge on the way to the Field museum in Chicago.

Could it be the king? 😉

Rain drops & reflection

A shot that depicts the weather here in St. Louis.
