Todays daily shoot assignment: Beauty is all around us. Make a photo of some naturally occurring beauty in your area today.
Todays subject for TDS assignment is Hot Cayenne pepper grown in my backyard with sweet bell pepper in the background. Not sure if it’s a beauty but it’s 100% natural/organic 😉
I had a hard time setting composition for this shot as the pepper seems to be growing in the shape of a boat. When I downloaded my picture my composition ended up looking like a snapshot 🙂
This is too clear and vibrant for a snapshot! I like the composition – I think the shape of the pepper draws the eye across the photo perfectly. Nice work!

A snap shot would not have that wonderful depth of field, contrast or clarity. Nicely done. That red pepper jumps at your and says “follow me across the image” Great job Sasi.

The position of the chili is wonderful. It keeps bringing my eye back and forth to the center of the image. Beautiful!
My honest opinion is yes, it looks like a snapshot. But…you and I both know that we can’t win them all. I admire that fact that you still posted it even though you weren’t happy with it. Maybe an ultra tight crop on the chili at a different angle might have yielded a fine art print.
