Photo 365: Day 251 – TDS: Horizontal lines
Todays daily shoot assignment: Find a strong series of horizontal lines or elements and make a photograph of it today.
Does power lines make horizontal lines? Perhaps not, they’re suspended such a way they sag during summer and contract during winter months ๐
Anyway, power lines are my subject for TDS:Horizontal Lines assignment.
Shot this while waiting for my daughter to return from her chess club meet this evening. The place hosting the chess club is located close to the highway and this spot should present wonderful photo opps in the near future.
It was a rainy/overcast day – hence the sky looks flat. Used Nikon 50mm at f/1.4 for this shot.
Great information in this post! They’re definitely not vertical, so I’d call them horizontal. ๐
I love your thinking. Nicely done
interesting interpretation ๐
I’d have gone for a straightforward shot of the parallel roads ๐ (I know, boring!)
Now this I find to be quite interesting. Not a scene most people would find sufficiently photogenic, but definitely worth exploring to me. If you get a chance do some research on the “new topographics”. The group of photographers who explore man altered landscapes. This would handily fit in with that genre.
Ugh! I don’t have patience for chess. I tried it a long time ago and just don’t care. Good for your daughter.
Hey, really nice. The background adds interest.
